The Citizens of Lone Tree authorized the construction of a new Lone Tree Arts Center in the Lincoln Commons area of RidgeGate, just south of Lincoln Avenue, and one-half mile west of I-25. Coventry Development Corporation donated a multi-million dollar parcel of land for the construction of the arts facility. Designed by acclaimed architects Westlake Reed Leskosky, The Arts Center is scheduled to open in early fall 2011.
The Lone Tree Arts Center is committed to filling its theatre with a high level of premier productions and performances. In addition to being home to the Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra, the Arts Center plans to engage in an entirely new model for presenting performing arts regionally by collaborating with some of the Front Range’s premier performing arts companies to bring acclaimed productions to Lone Tree. Special programming for children and youth are a high priority for the Lone Tree Arts Center, which plans to have an extensive program for young people. Along with the award-winning City of Lone Tree Passport to Culture program, the Arts Center plans to work closely with area dance, music and theatre companies to have vibrant youth components.
