The Arts Center Gala was held on August 24, 2011 featuring Tony Award Winner Brian Stokes Mitchell. This black tie event was a huge success, celebrating the opening of the Center. More photos can be found on the Denver Post Media page here.
The inaugural Guild meeting was held October 20, 2010 at the home of George and Diana Bye. Over forty guests were in attendance, enjoying presentations by Executive Director Lisa Rigsby Peterson, and Arts Center Project Director and Head Designer Bradford Watson from the architecture firm of Westlake, Reed and Leskosky. This enthusiastic group heard about many of the activities planned for the Arts Center’s first year, and got a personalized digital tour through the building itself.
On September 21, 2010, local business and community leaders were invited to a private reception at the UBS Financial Services offices in Lone Tree to get an electronic site tour of the Lone Tree Arts Center hosted by the project architect, Bradford Watson with Westlake, Reed, and Leskowski. Executive Director Lisa Rigsby Peterson, Foundation Chair Art Bouton and Campaign Cabinet Chair Rick Eigtto were all in attendance to answer key questions regarding fundraising efforts.
On March 18, 2010, over 175 business leaders, arts and civic representatives and members of the community gathered in celebration of the groundbreaking of the Lone Tree Arts Center to be completed August 2011. Attendees got a glimpse of design renderings and enjoyed hors doeuvres and refreshments provided by Sprouts Farmers Market. The Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet provided the event fanfare.
